Wosports Rangefinder Review – L14 Rivals Bushnell?

I recently had a chance to review the Wosports L14, the most recent addition to the Wosports golf lineup. As soon as I opened the box, it appears this rangefinder is modeled after the Bushnell V-Series.

Coming in at less than 1/3 the price of the newer Bushnell’s, how does it compare?

The Wosports gets the job done, and for the price, it will be a great buy for a lot of golfers. But its not for everyone.

Before I go further, please note that the kind folks at Wosports sent me the L14 for free in exchange for an honest review. So let’s get into it!

I took the L14 out on the course with my typical gamer, the Blue Tees Series 3. I’ve previously tested my Blue Tees rangefinder against the Bushnell Pro X3, and other Bushnell and Precision Pro models.

I am very confident in the accuracy of the Blue Tees, so it was perfect for comparison.

After hitting multiple flags, trees, rocks, other carts etc with both rangefinders, the Wosports accuracy holds up. There were only differences on occasion by about 1 – 2 yards.

I did notice that it was a bit harder to get the flag locked in though and I ended up getting trees behind the green much more than I normally do with the Blue Tees.

The 7x magnification is nice and the sight picture was clear.

The slope function was routinely giving me different readings than the Blue Tees, but it was very close, and honestly, won’t make a difference for the vast majority of golfers.

The L14 was noticeably lighter than most rangefinders, which isn’t necessarily a pro or con, but it does feel a but cheep.

The magnetic mount is also a great feature, which I believe EVERY rangefinder on the market should have. But the magnet is a bit weak. It held up just fine, but if your buddy is drinking too much and hits a massive bump at full speed it may break free.

Quick Facts

The Wosports L14 is accurate to within 1 yard and has an impressive range of 1,500 yards. If you need that on the golf course, you’re doing it wrong.

The L14 has flag lock and slope adjustment technology. It also has a slope switch, making it legal for sanctioned play.

The L14 is USB-C rechargeable, has 7x magnification and has a magnetic strip.

Who Should Buy the Wosports L14

If you are looking for an inexpensive rangefinder, this is a GREAT option. It’s almost unfair to compare the L14 to any of the Bushnell’s because of the giant price difference, but there is a noticeable drop-off in quality.

If you are a golfer looking for the best tech on the market, this isn’t for you. If you are OCD about your distances, this probably isn’t for you either.

But if you are an average golfer looking for an accurate rangefinder that can get the job done, this is definitely for you.

Wosports L14 Rangefinder packaging

My first impression when opening the box was – wow, this thing is only $129. The case is very nice and reminds me of the quality you’ll find with some of the higher-end rangefinders.

I did notice that the rangefinder is much lighter than most as soon as I picked it up, but I wouldn’t let that deter you, especially since it’s accuracy held up on the course.

I also love the fact that the L14 is rechargeable with USB-C. I’ve used it a few times now and still have a full battery, so it seems to have great batter life as well.

Final Thoughts

If you’re an average golfer looking for an inexpensive rangefinder, the Wosports L14 is a great option. It has similar features and capabilities as some of the higher-end rangefinders on the market, but comes in at less than a third of the price.

If you go with the L14, just be sure to shoot your target a couple of times to make sure you are getting the right target/reading and not picking up something further away.

I really like the design, slope technology, 7x magnification and the high quality case. Overall, at this price point, this is a great rangefinder.
